Every now and then I like to send the grandchildren cards that I made despite not being very good at it. I do have adequate craft supplies, a good sense of humor and not bad ideas, it's just the craftsmenship that is lacking.
I also like to make each family member a different card because I think a lot of the fun is sharing what each individual card says to parents and siblings. For other cards I've made, click here.
The first are the cards for Anna, Eli and Sam (I did get some help on the jokes from the internet for these three)
Sam: How do bunnies stay healthy? They eggs-ercize
Eli: Never tell an Easter egg a good joke! It may crack them up
Anna: Why was the Easter Bunny upset? She was having a bad "hare" day (Anna has had a bad "hare" day this year when she cut her own hair).
For Brett: Why did the egg like the baseball game? It had egg-stra innings. Here's some egg-stra money
For Davis: What do you call 5 male rabbits? 5 Bucks (not so much a joke as information---the joke is the money included)
For Roman: We hope this is Eggs-actly what you wanted. (money included)
For Libby: What does the Easter Bunny get for making a basket? Two points like everyone else.
I hope they enjoy the cards but more importantly I hope they know that Grandma and Grandpa love them so much that Grandma even does crafts for them!

Between Two Worlds
Most of my life, I've considered it fortunate that I was just ahead of the Baby-boom. Generally, the Baby-boomers were born between 1946 and 1964 after the fathers returned from World War II. It was a huge population explosion that has reverberated through American society.
This blog will be part history, part memories, part reflections of a retired teacher, but active "Senior". I have always felt like I straddled two generations forming a bridge. Sometimes I think like a baby-boomer, but sometimes I'm locked into my parents' Depression era thinking. I'm a dichotomy of two eras. But, I'm always ready to try something new---so here I am dipping my toes in the water of Blogworld.
