Visit with R and R

That would be Rebecca and Roman!  After the 6 hour train ride, someone needed to burn off some energy, so we went to Chesterfield Mall.

We talked Roman into the American Girl Store because I have been a fan since they first came out and hadn't been to a store.  History, books, dolls---what's there not to love?
The next day, we went to the Science Center where we saw an IMAX movie on the arctic and Roman ran off some of his legendary energy.Shortly after that, I couldn't find my camera.  So, I didn't take many photos of our next adventure:

Meeting Nancy, Janine, Taryn, Christopher at the Mo. Botanical Garden for the Lantern Festival.

I did find my camera, thankfully,. . . .under a bed with some interesting photos.

Between Two Worlds

Most of my life, I've considered it fortunate that I was just ahead of the Baby-boom. Generally, the Baby-boomers were born between 1946 and 1964 after the fathers returned from World War II. It was a huge population explosion that has reverberated through American society.

This blog will be part history, part memories, part reflections of a retired teacher, but active "Senior". I have always felt like I straddled two generations forming a bridge. Sometimes I think like a baby-boomer, but sometimes I'm locked into my parents' Depression era thinking. I'm a dichotomy of two eras. But, I'm always ready to try something new---so here I am dipping my toes in the water of Blogworld.
