My little sister is a blessing! She is so creative and talented, but also warm and loving. Several times a year we are treated to her card creations. She loves Halloween and Christmas, but I love Thanksgiving! So, she even turns on those creative skills to give me extra pleasure. At a time when some stores had Christmas displays before Labor Day (Costco), I hate seeing my favorite holiday take the back seat.
But my sister knows that a nod to my holiday means a lot to me. Over the years she has made some of the cards above and the one below. So, on this special birthday, I want to thank her and ask that the Lord bless her on this birthday. I am thankful she is my sister.

Between Two Worlds
Most of my life, I've considered it fortunate that I was just ahead of the Baby-boom. Generally, the Baby-boomers were born between 1946 and 1964 after the fathers returned from World War II. It was a huge population explosion that has reverberated through American society.
This blog will be part history, part memories, part reflections of a retired teacher, but active "Senior". I have always felt like I straddled two generations forming a bridge. Sometimes I think like a baby-boomer, but sometimes I'm locked into my parents' Depression era thinking. I'm a dichotomy of two eras. But, I'm always ready to try something new---so here I am dipping my toes in the water of Blogworld.
