Eryn's Wedding

Last weekend we went to the wedding of Eryn, whom we have known since she was a baby---she lived in our neighborhood and was a friend of our daughters.
Her parents have had a difficult year so this was a very happy occasion. Here they are before the wedding with their granddaughter.
Here are the wedding party---wow, Eryn has a lot of cousins!
I love their dresses and bouquets. I'm not sure of the bridesmaids, but L-R: Katie P. (PWHS friend), Sarah (PWHS) ,Karen (Groom's sister), Amy G. (Scott's wife),Kristen (PWHS), Sheri H. (PWHS friend). I'm sure my daughters would know for sure.
I was so impressed that they had memorized their vows.
Aren't they a handsome couple?
Here are Eryn's brother and sister-in-law, Amy.
After the wedding party left, the bride and groom circled back to the front of the church and stopped to greet and dismiss the people in each pew. It was so much better than standing in a receiving line. It was a wonderful wedding from start to finish when the groom thanked everyone for coming as they were leaving the church.

Between Two Worlds

Most of my life, I've considered it fortunate that I was just ahead of the Baby-boom. Generally, the Baby-boomers were born between 1946 and 1964 after the fathers returned from World War II. It was a huge population explosion that has reverberated through American society.

This blog will be part history, part memories, part reflections of a retired teacher, but active "Senior". I have always felt like I straddled two generations forming a bridge. Sometimes I think like a baby-boomer, but sometimes I'm locked into my parents' Depression era thinking. I'm a dichotomy of two eras. But, I'm always ready to try something new---so here I am dipping my toes in the water of Blogworld.
