Last year, I gave Debbie a Whole Foods gift card, but she says she just bought food to feed my brother. So, I decided that this year, I would give her other options.
Debbie, you can buy a nice bottle of wine with your gift card.
Or, some fun brewskis!
Or, some nice Italian soda pops!
You can buy nuts, party mixes. . .
a new shopping bag. . .
Or, some nice ceramic pieces. I know one of my daughters has the plate above that they fill with lots of fun crackers.
If nothing else strikes your fancy. . . how about some of these delicious pastries. But, do NOT buy something just for my brother to eat. It is your birthday. If we lived close by, I would have bought some of the things I featured, but since we're so far away, pick out something nice---I'm going to ask!

Between Two Worlds
Most of my life, I've considered it fortunate that I was just ahead of the Baby-boom. Generally, the Baby-boomers were born between 1946 and 1964 after the fathers returned from World War II. It was a huge population explosion that has reverberated through American society.
This blog will be part history, part memories, part reflections of a retired teacher, but active "Senior". I have always felt like I straddled two generations forming a bridge. Sometimes I think like a baby-boomer, but sometimes I'm locked into my parents' Depression era thinking. I'm a dichotomy of two eras. But, I'm always ready to try something new---so here I am dipping my toes in the water of Blogworld.
