After a brief worm hunting trip (more about that later), many of us headed to St. Mark Presbyterian Church for the annual Bunny Breakfast.
They have games for the kids in addition to the egg hunts.
Anna and Leah came after the egg hunt.
Roman helped out but returning the eggs for next year's hunt.
The Guest of Honor arrived. . .
But not everyone was happy about it. . .
After we came home, the kids had lots of fun. . . .
Playing with grandma's games although some
Chose to play Grandma's croquet, a little differently than I remember it. . .
They also pulled up the stakes and used them to dig my garden. . .
After a fun lunch (not much was eaten, but it was fun), the kids went with the dads on a hike to Castlewood Park.
Later that evening, we celebrated Davis's birthday a few days early.
We had beautiful weather despite the predictions of rain and we always have a good time with family!

Between Two Worlds
Most of my life, I've considered it fortunate that I was just ahead of the Baby-boom. Generally, the Baby-boomers were born between 1946 and 1964 after the fathers returned from World War II. It was a huge population explosion that has reverberated through American society.
This blog will be part history, part memories, part reflections of a retired teacher, but active "Senior". I have always felt like I straddled two generations forming a bridge. Sometimes I think like a baby-boomer, but sometimes I'm locked into my parents' Depression era thinking. I'm a dichotomy of two eras. But, I'm always ready to try something new---so here I am dipping my toes in the water of Blogworld.
