Donna Hates Facebook

My pledge sister Donna and I go to church together. Every August we work at the church rummage sale together. Her specialty is the boutique---where we take items of value or small items like jewelry. She's very good at researching the prices for antiques and collectibles. I took this photo and she had a fit---I thought she looked so cute, relaxed and happy talking to someone. This was not posed . . .
But, she threw a fit and said I'd better not put her photo on Facebook. I'd been trying to get her on Facebook and thought I'd put her photo up for our sorority sisters to see. But, no! OK, so, I'm doing a blog instead.
Now, seriously, Donna, don't you wish I'd just put the first photo on Facebook? :-)

DELTA LOVE!

It's a wonderful picture!
We have a boutique too,at our church's rummage sale. It's so much fun finding "really good" or new things for it!

Between Two Worlds

Most of my life, I've considered it fortunate that I was just ahead of the Baby-boom. Generally, the Baby-boomers were born between 1946 and 1964 after the fathers returned from World War II. It was a huge population explosion that has reverberated through American society.

This blog will be part history, part memories, part reflections of a retired teacher, but active "Senior". I have always felt like I straddled two generations forming a bridge. Sometimes I think like a baby-boomer, but sometimes I'm locked into my parents' Depression era thinking. I'm a dichotomy of two eras. But, I'm always ready to try something new---so here I am dipping my toes in the water of Blogworld.
